In devices using the stock Android 14 settings UI, the unrestricted setting can be quite hard to find. Pay extra close attention to point number 5 in the instructions below.

Set battery optimization mode to 'Unrestricted' by following these steps:

Navigate to Settings -> Apps -> App battery usage.
Select 'All apps' in the drop down menu in the top of the view.
Find and tap Detecht in the list.
Make sure that the switch labeled 'Allow background usage' is enabled.
Tap on the label 'Allow background usage' to access more options (Fig 1).
Set battery optimization mode to 'Unrestricted' (Fig 2).
